Pitchmastic PmB Protect Landmark Structure

Pitchmastic PmB alongside Waterseal have recently completed the waterproofing of Borough Viaduct which spans the famous Borough market in London.

The Network rail approved PmB waterproofing system was used on this project. PmB's unique low odour properties, speed of application and rapid cure (5-8 seconds) were ideal for such a project which involved waterproofing using a spray system directly above some of London's finest fresh food traders, also due to the surrounding environment the PmB material packaging and storage procedure resulted in minimal risk and zero waste as all 1 tonne IBC's are bunded and refilled for secondary use.

The works involved strategically lifting all plant and materials onto and off the viaduct deck to complete concrete surface preparation and the application of over 4000m2 of sprayed waterproofing, this included the installation of Network Rail approved protection layer to enable track ballast to be placed directly on top of the system.

Pitchmastic PmB / Waterseal and Skanska worked together to overcome demanding logistical and programming restraints to satisfactorily deliver the works ahead of schedule.
